Beat Mändli (born 1 October 1969) is a Swiss equestrian and Olympic medalist. In his junior career Mändli packed his suitcases and moved to Ted and Liz Edgar’s farm in England. At that time, Ted was regarded as one of the best trainers in the world and developed many future stars, such as Nick Skelton and Lesley McNaught. After a good year in England, Mändli returned to Switzerland and his father’s stable full of experience.
More recently Beat’s achievements include winner of the 3* Grand Prix in Treffen 2013, 2nd place in the Rolex FEI World Cup in Oslo 2012 and winner of the 4* Grand Prix in Wien in 2011. Beats advice is to ‘work hard, be happy with small steps, take your time and keep trying if it doesn’t work.’
